We are a group of local residents who will take an interest in the development of an exploratory borehole situated off A634 between Barnby Moor and Blythe in the parish of Torworth. An application for a scoping opinion was submitted to Nottinghamshire County Council who are the responsible Minerals Planning Authority (MPA) by Island Gas Ltd. a subsidiary of IGas Energy PLC. (IGas) in October 2015. IGas describe the application as Tinker Lane 1- Scoping Request.
The group of local residents are called the Tinker Lane Community Liaison Group (CLG) and are made up of representatives from local Parish Councils and local community representatives. The local residents and Parish Councillors are drawn from the following parishes: Babworth, Barnby Moor, Blyth, Lound, Mattersey, Ranskill, Scrooby, Sutton and Torworth.
The CLG will seek to provide the community with progress updates on the application and procurement of appropriate consents and should the project procede to work on site will provide the community with information on the construction of the site and address any issues that may arise regarding site activity. The CLG will also seek to provide feedback from the community to IGas thus providing a two-way dialogue between local residents and IGas.
