NCC has agreed with IGas an extension to allow a full determination of the application for exploratory drilling at Misson Springs.
More than 2,000 responses were received during public consultation and the Council has written to IGas to seek further information on a range of matters including site selection and sequential testing, surface water run-off, ecology, traffic and transportation, unexploded ordnance, and landscape and visual impact.
Sally Gill Head of Planning at NCC commented:
“This process provides the applicant with an opportunity to address any concerns raised and provide additional information, not included in the initial application, which answers questions raised during the consultation.
“The further period of public consultation will allow members of the public and technical consultees the opportunity to comment on this additional information once it has been submitted.”
