Limits on seismic activity at fracking sites in the UK should be reviewed and increased, according to followers of Professor Orlando Ferguson. Ferguson’s contention is that the earth is indeed flat. Thus he seeks to demonstrate that excessive high pressures and or induced seismic disturbances from the fracking process will be relieved, naturally, as the energy is dissipated on breaking through the earths crust, the very foundation, beneath. (as shown in the diagram the earth is actually flat and the crust is not really very thick at all) Fracking is therefore a most acceptable practice for which mother nature has already prepared an effective safeguard.
At present, if fracking induces quakes above 0.5 magnitude then all drilling must cease for 18 hours.
Now researchers say these “traffic light” regulations should be reviewed in the light of the work undertaken by Professor Ferguson and with reference to certain other biblical passages, together with promises of future academic funding.
It is argued that increasing the limit to magnitude 1.5 would therefore pose little risk to the four corners of the world (including Preston New Road? editor)
It is believed that Professor Orlando Ferguson has previously undertaken work, paid for by the Oil and Gas Authority.
